Our origin began over 140 years back in the heart of then Calcutta as a Homoeopathic pharmacy that refused to die in people’s memory and their lives ever. In this long arduous journey, there’s been times when the business faced challenges, when times were not in our favour, when the team faced setbacks, where the road seemed harsh but the faith that people had on one name never seemed to fade away and that fueled generations to go on to keep an established name alive by maintaining the integrity and honesty that once made a young bengali man dare to start a business in the heart of British ruled colonial Calcutta.

Back in the 19th Century, Homoeopathy as a mode of treatment arrived in India and found its strongest footing in Bengal making it the epicenter of Homoeopathy in India. What Dr. Kalipada Banerjee began with his close associate Dr. L. Salzer in honour of a brilliant associate Dr. Charles Ringer in the Dalhousie Square of the erstwhile Calcutta and later took the responsibility exclusively in his hand when Dr. Salzer left India, continued for decades and always maintained being the forerunners in innovation, suitable to the contemporary scenario and unwithering in the face of storms, both in the field of homoeopathy and business. C. Ringer & Company, the family run business that saw foreign rule, war, independence of the country, environmental mishaps, political transitions, socio-economic changes and much more while standing tall may have been forced to bend several times but never broken. From being retailers that imported superior quality homoeopathic medicines to being manufacturers of homoeopathic medicines that gained the trust of the country and also publishers of the best quality homoeopathic literature to eventually becoming the most important and most widely spread homoeopathic brand in Eastern India C. Ringer & Co. remained the symbol of authenticity and effectivity in the field of homoeopathy.

Today the lineage and the story continue as the same bloodline, the fifth generation of the family, today has taken the baton forward in the form of C. Ringer Healthcare Private Limited with the courage, the integrity and the insight that we have inherited from our ancestors and consolidating them with the modern requirements in today’s social life.
